The Standard Horizon GX 1300W Eclipse is an ultra-compact class D fixed mount VHF radio. The radio has ITU-R M493-13 class D rating for digital selective calling. The radio is also water proof up to 4.92ft which is more than enough for a fixed mount marine radio. The menu is oversized making it very easy to see in rough conditions. This is a relatively inexpensive fixed mount radio that is perfect for the weekend boater who is not venturing far offshore. This unit can also be interfaced with a GPS receiver making it more versatile. Note that this radio is offered in black and white options.
